          Cox’s Bazar sea beach is the world’s longest unbroken clean sandy beach. This forest is enriched with many types of trees which is very rare to the other forest. One of the main features of this forest is that it is always flooded with water. The main tree of this forest is sundori tree and because of this tree name the nae of this forest is Sundarban. The History of International Mother Language Day

       

          International Mother Language Day is celebrated every year on 21st February. The main purpose of celebrating this day is to promote the awareness of language and cultural diversity all across the world. It was first announced by UNESCO on November 17, 1999. Since then it is being celebrated every year. The date represents the day 21st February 1952 when four young students were killed in Dhaka, the capital of Bangladesh, because of Bengali and Urdu language controversy. Languages are the most powerful way to preserve and develop culture and to promote it all across the world.        International Mother Language Day has been observed every year since February 2000 to promote linguistic and cultural diversity and multilingualism. The date represents the day in 1952 when students demonstrating for recognition of their language, Bangla, as one of the two national languages of the then Pakistan, were shot and killed by police in Dhaka, the capital of what is now Bangladesh. Languages are the most powerful instruments of preserving and developing our tangible and intangible heritage. All moves to promote the dissemination of mother tongues will serve not only to encourage linguistic diversity and multilingual education but also to develop fuller awareness of linguistic and cultural traditions throughout the world and to inspire solidarity based on understanding, tolerance and dialogue.

On International Mother Language Day UNESCO and other UN agencies take part in the events to promote cultural and linguistic diversity all around the world. They appreciate and encourage people to be knowledgeable about their mother language and provide them with awareness regarding the promotion of their language and culture towards other countries. In Bangladesh on International Mother Language Day people go to Shaheed Minar to pay tribute to the martyr of 21st February and sprinkle flowers on the monument. This is a time for Bangladeshis to celebrate their culture, traditions and their Bengali national language.         March 26 is the national independence day of Bangladesh This day is celebrated all over the Bangladesh and also all over the world. It commemorates the country's declaration of independence from Pakistan on late hours of 25 March 1971 and the start of Bangladesh Liberation War in 1971. The day is a memorial to the deaths of thousands of innocent civilians who died in the subsequent Bangladesh Liberation War. The day is a national holiday in Bangladesh, and is celebrated with parades, and paying of respect at Jatiyo Smriti Soudho, the national memorial at Savar near Dhaka. Bangladesh was declared independent on 26th March 1971 after a nine-month civil war against the Pakistani Army.               The people of Bangladesh discovered their identity through the language momentum in 1952. The struggle to establish their identity and national spirit began soon after 1947, when the British left India dividing it into two countries: India and Pakistan. Bangladesh, then East Pakistan, was part of Pakistan, which was put together by combining two geographically, culturally, and linguistically separate groups of people. The people of Bangladesh soon realized that being a part of Pakistan, which was created on the two nation theory, there was little scope for the distance culture of Bangladeshis to flourish. The Bangla language was the most important vehicle of the cultural expression for the people of this land. The refusal of the central government in West Pakistan to grant official status to the Bangla became the focal point of struggle.

TV and radio are flooded with patriotic songs and special programs in the honor of the day. Normally, a 31-gun salute is held in the morning and the streets are adorned with national flags. The Festivals of Banglades

 

         The festivals of a country reflect the culture of that particular country. In the history of Bangladesh festivals have always played a significant role in the life of the people of Bangladesh. Those are parts and parcels of Bangalee culture and tradition. Bangladeshi daily life is replete with traditions and festivals that reflect the unique culture and tradition of Bangladeshis. Some of the tradition and customs are as very ancient, while others are relatively recent.

            The indigenous customs and festivals that has been preserved and nurtured through the ages are principally center around agricultural practices.  These include nabonno (the festival of the new harvest) and pawhela boishAkh (the Bengali new Year). Pawhela Boishakh is the first day of Bangle new year which is celebrated in the whole country in a briefing Manner. Dressing pattern of Bangladesh

      
          A traditional dress , or folk dress, expresses an identity through traditional garments. Such folk dress often come in two forms: one for everyday occasions, the other for festivals and formal wear. The people in Bangladesh usually follow their own traditional dress which mostly made in Bangladesh. Bangladesh is well for it's cloth style in the Southern Asia.
 

The female in Bangladesh mostly wear either salwar kameez or saree. However the girls who are not married yet they wear salwar kameez and after getting girls start to use saree. With the salwar kameez girls also wear orna which reffer to long scarf. And saree which add a beauty in girls is a long peace of cloth. Inorder to wear saree, paticose and blouse is needed. The saree that girls wear during marriage is different than the usual saree.          The traditional dress of Bangladeshi people for male is Lungi and Dhuti-panjabi. Dhuti is a long piece of cloth. To wear this one need to know how to twist this cloth around the body. Lungi is also a piece of cloth which does not have any zipper or clip to tighten this cloth. If anyone needs to wear it he just need to make the knot and need to know how to do the knot.

Further more bangladeshi male when they are at home prefer to wear T-shirt with lungi and when they are outside they prefer to wear shirt pant. if there is is any formal occasion shirt pant is mostly wear. However the traditional outfit for the boys mostly refer to Panjabi and pajama. In addition during the festivals like Eid, Puja and pohela baishakh (bangla new year) boys like to wear panjabi and pajama. The costume for the boys in the marriage ceremony is also panjabi pajama. Usually the color of the panjabi is red or white.
        
         Beside these dresses Bangladesh has also many other types of dresses. The people specially who live in the Chittagong there traditional dress is far more different than the usual traditional dress of Bangladesh. The Food of Bangladesh

 

        The cooking style of Bangladesh is known as culinary art which has been followed by the generation after generation to keep the tradition of food. The food is usually made by the fresh blended fragrant spices that makes people eat more and more. The daily recipe for Bangladeshi people is vat(rice) with fish, vegetables and Dal. The eating habit of Bangladeshi people is so healthy as in every day's recipe fish, vegetable and rice will be included which contain an ample amounts of protein, vitamins, carbohydrate.

           
         The rice is eaten by the Bangladeshi people are two kind one is normal boiled rice and another one byriani (fried-rice). Usually for every days people eat the boiled rice on the other hand, people eat byriani on the special occasion like, Eid, marriage ceremony, and in any others parties. Taste a Pranhara (heart winner) or a lady Kenny (named after Lady Kenning, wife of the British Governor of East India Company) and you will know what it means!
