2nd Entry

Introduction to Bangladesh  

        
        Bangladesh is a sovereign country which is situated in the Southern Asia. Bangladesh achieved the place in the world map as an independent country on 16th December, 1971 by gaining the victory at the war of liberation with Pakistan. It is surrounded by the bay of Bengal on south, India on north, east and west and a little portion confronting Burma (Myanmar). It has thousands year of history with cultural heritage and it is well known for it's music, poetry and paintings. Bangladesh has got around 126 million of people among the 85% are Muslims, 14% are Hindus and 1% others religion. Unlike most others country which has four seasons, Bangladesh is blessed with six seasons  namely 
  • summer,
  • rainy, 
  • autumn, 
  • late-autumn, 
  • winter and spring.

      Bangladesh is divided into six main division, which are  Dhaka, Khulna, Chittagong, Barisal, Rajshahi and Sylhet. The government system of this country is parliamentary democracy. this country is the member of South Asian association for Regional Corporation (SAARC). The economy of the country mostly depends on agriculture as one third of GDP generates from agriculture. Bangladesh has a tropical monsoon climate and the range of humidity is high. Bangladesh is a land of natural calamities, as every year it is visited by the various natural calamities especially flood. Bangladesh has been subjected to climate extremities as during the summer tropical cyclone, storm and tidal bores cause a widespread of damage and distraction to this country. http://www.bangladeshymca.org/introduction_bangladesh.htm




          The economic development has always been constrain of Bangladesh due to the large population of this country. This country has got the world highest densities as 830 people live per square kilometer. The population growth rate of Bangladesh is very high, which is over 2% a year although the government gives the emphasis on the population control and family planning. Although, Bangladesh has got numerous problems including political, natural, economical but the people of this country try to live happily by fighting against those problems. I am proud to be a Bangladeshi and I will try my best to make my country proud through my actions.
